The phrase is one I don’t hear much anymore. Do you remember when people had door hangers and they did go fishing during the week? Doesn’t happen much these days. Maybe we feel like we are “off duty” when we go to a conference or lunch event. Or, golf with a client or customer (but that can also be a little work).
Whether vacation or an hour to ourselves, giving our brain some time off can refuel not only our body, but our thinking too.
This week, if you’re not fishing, notice if you have 20-30 minutes or a lunchtime to give yourself a real break. Put your phone away and do something that gives you new energy.
